I'm going to venture out and say because the Borg and it's stance on 'same sex' marriages,
It's obvious the Borg's stance on such 'unions', they view it as 'disgusting' 'worthy of death'. If they would adapt with the times,,,and be more tolerant, perhaps maybe they would receive such 'grants'
