    Well played sir.

Yes, sadly, as soon as it gets "difficult" or an actual conversation with differing views arises, they will cut it off as being "argumentative"!

Simply respectfully expressing differing views is NOT arguing. It is called conversing.

It's really not a defensible position from a Biblical point of view and I'm pretty sure they know that.

Oh and love the Merry Christmas wish at the end. That made me laugh.

Of course, their rendition will be how they won a debate with an "opposer"

ME: Im not trying to argue sir, im just asking questions. I know shunnng isnt in the bible.

Not sure I can agree with that,

They then just ignored me and pretended i wasn't there. Both holding the Watchtower out to... no one. I took my leave.

Ha! That's pathetic. They'd probably clocked you were a JW. They've not got any ethical justifications for shunning, but that doesn't stop them. Apparently they provided a demonstration.

Jesus pretty much set the tone as far as tolerating difference and accepting others with differing views is concerned.

Matt 12:30 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

    Well done.

Please keep us posted on your next conversation/s.

    My favourite:

"Is a right and clean standing with God earned or imputed?"

I've been finding out more and more that JW's just don't debate nor defend their belieifs anymore, at least not like they used to. If they get cornered like what happened then they just "walk away" from it all. Whatever happened to the witness who stood up for their beliefs? I guess their all dead now.

good work PE, thats the general tone I try to use when I speak with them, the cart in my local town centre isnt out much at all these days, not that they will speak to me other than just basic pleasantries
