Putting this under beliefs,doctrine and practices because I don't see a better heading. Here is what i have been thinking for years now and the situation with the recent storms and the devastation brings in closer to home in my thinking. I lived in Western NC for 20 years and moved to WV in Feb of this year. I have been glued to my computer watching the horrendous damage the storm has done. Western NC isn't to be traveled in right because of the conditions of the roads. Millions without power. Some people are stranded....Whole communities destroyed. So what does this have to do with the stupidity of JW r/f? We have all heard the stories of some who would say how they were going to live in this or that nice home after the GT and battle of A. Well, that is just stupid reasoning, When you see the damage a cat 4 hurricane does, do they really think the homes and intrastructure will be left to salvage? But the stupidity gets worse. They buy into the Ramapo construction. They send their donations and some provide free labor to build this "movie studio" because by some miracle it is going to survive Armageddon, AND the videos will be used to educate the resurrected ones. ( oh, and at the same time, this is the last of the last of the last day, so they set out to build a complex that will cost millions and take years.) Where are the heads of the r/f JW? They don't seem to see the oxymoron of this whole thing. Now, if Jesus has power to resurrect the dead, does he really need JW videos to educate them? The JW org plays out that he does and I guess some buy into it. I never did. It makes no sense at all. ( I do have a thought about what/why the studio is being built, but some would think me a crazy conspiracy theorist (( some already do )) NOTE: for those who complain about the lack of paragraph form...I can't seem to do it on this device. I made the endeavor, so take it or leave it.

I certainly understand your rant about the stupidity of the rank & file Jehovah’s Witnesses.
They are not just stupid but are also complicit, in my opinion. As, It is THEY who carry out shunning and other evils in the religion at the direction of the leaders.. It was the rank & file Witnesses who made sure I was shunned and not invited years ago when I was a young working woman in the congregation.
I am retired now but I have no pity for any rank & file JW who didn’t work to plan for their future.. They are just fools as your post describes - only they are old fools. And everybody knows there’s no fool like an old fool.
I’m Glad I got out of the religion ages ago.

I haven't heard that one yet 🤣🤣 so God is going to leave the power supply undamaged or at least enough diesel powered generators after the fire and brimstone from the skies assault so that the JWs can watch their little happy videos 😂😂

I haven't heard that one yetYes, on a recent thread we had about WT images of the paradise, someone pasted one from a 2022 WT study article which shows a resurrected person from Bible times being taught by a 21st century brother using a tablet! So obviously iOS and/or Android will still be running and patched after Armageddon...

If you don’t mind, I’d like to hear your idea. The org is too secretive and we are often left to speculate.
I was just looking at their Watchtower studio for their monthly broadcasts and wondered the following-
They teach Satan is the ruler of this world so why do they have a picture of the world and not focus on something more spiritual?
They also put their logo up, just JW. Why? It becomes a symbol when it doesn’t explain anything to the viewer. It becomes a bit of advertising at best. But surely the focus should be on Jehovah (and Jesus) and the heavenly kingdom.
Even in the congregations, they choose an annual text and put that up to display.

CT Russell, Rutherford, the other WT leaders, the GB today...they are freemasons of the Egyptian esoteric/hermetic/Kabbalistic/Rosicrucian-style occult. It is a form of satanism (a "satan" is someone who opposes or resists truth.)
Hence the same type of shunning doctrines, the same type of twisting truth and false together, the same type of "building" work (empires of religious, physical, or corporate sort), the same type of hierarchy structure and ladder climbing.

as to the videos being used in the "new world" , if my memory serves ( and it may not ) one of the things that the resurrected needed taught was what this world was like in the end time. I think my memory is partly correct because I do have vague recollection of thinking of the scripture that says the former things won't be brought to mind, which is in conflict with showing videos of this world ( IMO ). The whole concept is stupid on the part of JWs not to see there is something wrong with that picture. But they really can't talk about it or question that which is presented as God's direction to the slave. ( and I think, I am so glad I am out of it. )

Making JW videos comes at a cost.
In the Deborah Hines interview, she talked about how the first time they were staying at Bethel, her step-dad was helping make a few videos for the Bethel lobby area. Even after John ("Jack") Barr and Underwood and Losch and others knew about what was going on with the sexual abuse At Bethel, they didn't help her. They sacrificed her so they could get their dumb videos. Fake shepherds! Threw the baby to the wolves, and then shunned her later on!
How many others have been abused at Bethel besides the ones who have already come forward?

You are right when you say “they really can’t talk about it or question that which is presented ….”
I was discussing all the changes in the religion last year with a couple of JWs I keep in touch with. The change that shocked me was the dropping of counting of time with the slip. Obviously, this was not a biblical teaching and was probably somebody’s opinion. But, I was judged over this years ago because I worked full time and was that ‘low hour publisher’.
I said that I was glad I never listened all those years ago and ‘what would have happened to me if I did’? Etc.. They were a little offended and it was then I realized that too many Witnesses think the religion is ‘right’ even when it is wrong!
