What I don't understand is that if special pioneers, missionaries ,co's and bethelites all get an allowance why aren't they all receiving a pension from Bethel. Is there no law regarding that?

My parents, very much pimi, did plan for retirement in as much that they are not wealthy but do own their own home, beautiful place by the beach, not fancy but comfortable and perfect for retirement, and because they always paid their taxes ard receiving the state pension which covers their needs.

Their circle of pimi friends of similar ages have all been prudent as well, none are wealthy but at least they are financially secure.

They were all very hard working self employed people, none of them were 'special' witnesses and therefore looked to their immediate future, unfortunately most 'specials' did not and because they saught the worship of men they are now reaping the consequences.

    Sea Breeze;

    "Pride is some nasty stuff".

Especially when you gaslighted into believing something harmful but to be advantageous to a high control group.

Like dissing planning for retirement & working for free until you're in your 70s.

WHEN YOU DOUBT THAT YOUR PAST DECISIONS WERE WISE

10 Later in life, some could think back and wonder whether they made the right decisions. Perhaps they decided to give up a promising career or a successful business in order to serve Jehovah more fully. Now time has passed, perhaps even decades. They may see acquaintances who pursued secular interests and who now enjoy apparent financial security. As a result, they may wonder: ‘Were the sacrifices I made for Jehovah worth it? Or did they cause me to miss other opportunities?’

Let's examine this photo a little closer, brought to you by the Watchtower Society!

This brother has his ''eyes on the prize.'' Instead of opening up his own business or a promising career ( which would give him a bigger income), he takes a menial job so he could attend all his weekly meetings, summer conventions and weekend field service activity.

He sacrifices financial security and retirement benefits for the false security promised by the Watchtower Society for a NEW PARADISE EARTH ( which will never come).

While the Watchtower Society build new complexes ( where they get free room and board, free medical care, living in rural, tree lined Lake settings), this brother will be on his own financially when he retires. He didn't sacrifice for Jehovah...he sacrificed everything for the dishonest Watchtower Society.

This kind of bullshit just enrages me!

They are greedy, heartless bastards! They accept no responsibility for the hardship and suffering they cause. They take, take, take and offer NOTHING in return. Then they demonize anyone who was wise enough to ignore their bullshit and make decisions and take the course or action that created a better life for themselves and their family.

Yet, the WT Heavies (COs, Bethel Bigshots) LOVE the JWs that have attained the financial means to flower them with gifts and wine & dine them. Yes, they deserve the expensive "nard" that Jesus received (worth one year's wages).

The greatest revenge is living a happy & successful life!

That photo is typical of the manipulation that WTC is famous for.

If you are still associated with WTC, and contemplating your future, study that photo carefully. It could be a snapshot of your own future - minus the paradise inset showing the Brother wearing an "UN-TUCKIT" shirt. For you sisters, the perfect 10 beside him still wears a dress even when working in the field. She is new to farming because she still invites all the cute little deer to eat everything in the garden - which they will do.

BTW - Armageddon better come quickly for the Brother in the photo. Otherwise, he will only get into the paradise by resurrection. WTC teaches that resurrected ones do not marry, so the attractive woman by his side helping him havest the fruit of his estate will not be his wife. If he dies prior to the end of the system like all other JWs who passed away, he will only have a platonic relationship with her.

BUT WAIT! Didn't the GB say a few years ago that it could not be said that resurrected ones will be single forever? They did - but dropped saying that after many expressed outrage. Namely, those who had remarried, and got a lemon for a mate.

Many of the CO's, DO's were given straight funds from individual congregation members, with that, the green handshake, as they called it, those ones took the funds directly to the bank, one clerk mentioned (as one that I knew), were depositing regularly "how is it that you never withdraw?'- well they did and bought houses, apartment buildings, invested, usually drove newer cars than those in the congregations. That same one was involved in CA while he was taking handouts and overbearingly dealt with those in the congregations. Thought they were royalty.

By 1982 we knew- after the 75 debaucle, it was time to get regular jobs with a pension- both of us did and bought shares in the companies as both were offering them. thank god we did. Monies to the org stopped as did the green handshakes.

Par 10- the first sentence is the one where I could say - Yes, but it would not be becoming one of JW's!

The Menlo Park fiasco happened long before WTC forcefully took ownership of all the KHs. It shows that WTC planned the takeover many years ago and wanted to see what the backlash would be. They learned some lessons and so did the BOE's throughout the U.S. - don't cross WTC if you plan to stay in the Org.

Now other countries are starting the selloffs and BOEs are considering what happened at Menlo Park in the U.S.

Unfortunately, there is little recourse for any who dissent. The best thing to do is walk away from WTC and find a better life.

It looks like he is doing menial shitty work in paradise earth also, expect his wife is beside him telling him how he is doing everything wrong. Also deer are eating his crop and peeing and crapping in his backyard. Think of the Urine spots he will have to fix.

Paradise earth looks like a real hoot. Maybe Blackbeard the pirate can come work for him.

You are so right in your comment. WT in their idiotic cherry-picking of scriptures ALWAYS forgets this one: (Proverbs 6:6-11) 6 Go to the ant, you lazy one; see its ways and become wise. 7 Although it has no commander, officer or ruler, 8 it prepares its food even in the summer; it has gathered its food supplies even in the harvest. 9 How long, you lazy one, will you keep lying down? When will you rise up from your sleep? 10 A little more sleep, a little more slumbering, a little more folding of the hands in lying down, 11 and your poverty will certainly come just like some rover, and your want like an armed man.

I see so many who unlike the "ant" and preparing for the future are more like that proverbial lazy one who never thought they would need any financial provisions for their future because they were promised they were never going to get old in this system. I have a newsflash for those morons. Everyone before you got old and died, you will die, and everyone you know will be dead in another hundred years, and if WT is still around they will still be beating the same old drum.

    FEDUP JW:

Yes, and thank you everybody for the great comments …..That Menlo Park story is a tragedy and the world should know about this and what goes on in the JW religion (a brother being run off the road???). Sounds like a whistleblower movie.

Getting back to the diehard ‘brother’ portrayed in the picture: somebody on Reddit commented that in all likelihood this brother is shunning some people, maybe relatives.. Also, maybe he gave up having kids for the religion. Somebody thought he looked lobotomized…Maybe he’s happy and gets by with a little help from his friends(?)

But, as I have said before, nobody there was looking out for me. What a hostile and cold environment.. Thank God I held onto my job until retirement!!

What I do feel is going to happen: ..sell-offs of halls everywhere and consolidation of congregations, declining membership, etc. and people driving ridiculous distances to wherever; the JW religion will be mostly online.. That means there will be NO physical presence of the religion in their neighborhood. There will not BE somebody they can go ask for handouts and assistance of any kind like in the past.

They will have to go to the churches of Christendom for aid of any kind.

All the faithful Witnesses left over who sacrificed so much and did without who are needy in their old age will be HIGH AND DRY. The religion just won’t be there.. I would not be surprised IF this is the direction it is going!
