I just tried it myself, and it came up with our "our first and last names and home phone number" with a MapQuest site right beside it. How convenient. This is astonishing, but because phone numbers are listed, I suppose it comes under the freedom of information act. This could actually be very helpful in some instances, for businesses and such, but for personal maps to connect with personal phone numbers is a bit disconcerting.

Bad people with bad intent will always be able to find ways to do bad things. They are quite adept in figuring out how to use and abuse, no matter what precautions we take. Let's face it; we have no privacy any longer. We just have to be ever vigilant and constantly observant. Never give your phone number to just anyone.

I put my name into Google one day and up came this site! I signed one of my posts with my full name. But I've not been able to do it since. Strange. Nowadays, you can find almost anyone or anything on the net!

I tried the low-tech version of this technique.

I opened my phone book and looked in the reverse directory - there it was!!! My name and address. Then I got out a map of my city and the address from the phone book corresponded to the precise location of my house.

    Be afraid. Be very afraid.
