Though I have been fully aware for years that the Gospels and other "Scriptural" references to the various Apostles (13, counting whatisname who replaced Judas) and much of what we are told about Paul is Fiction in the form of Myth and Legend, I had never thought about it this deeply, that the Apostles may be as lacking in Historical support as the Knights of the Round Table !

Deal with it:
1. Jesus died by crucifixion.
2. He was buried.
3. His death caused the disciples to despair and lose hope.
4. The tomb was empty.
5. The apostles & disciples had experiences which they believed were literal appearances of the risen Jesus (the most important proof).
6. The disciples were transformed from doubters to bold proclaimers.
7. The resurrection was the central message.
8. They preached the message of Jesus’ resurrection in Jerusalem. (where it all happened)
9. The Church was born and grew.
10. Orthodox Jews who believed in Christ made Sunday their primary day of worship.
11. James was converted to the faith when he saw the resurrected Jesus (James was a family skeptic).
12. Paul was converted to the faith (Paul was an outsider skeptic).
The apostles are only remembered because of testifying to the utterly astounding reality of a man coming back from the dead, just as he predicted that he would. This proved that he possessed the power of eternal life if true. This of course should be of interest to every man, woman and child on earth as it directly impacts their future; especially since this man offered this same kind of life to "whosoever".
Because of the work of the apostles in spreading the good news of unending life, the entire world counts time from the life of this one man.
Please provide a reasonable naturalistic explanation for each of the 12 facts listed above. This invitation is extended to not only you, but john prestor and FTS as well as anyone else.
This is based on the Twelve Days of Christmas.
Each Apostle had his own day.
The best one, IMO, was the ninth day when the nine ladies were dancing in see-thru lingerie.
