This board is such a godsend in SO many ways and I agree 100% wholedheartedly that we have many, many heroes whose willingness to speak out fearlessly and frankly, and sometimes share intimate details of their pain and suffering, hopes and trials, is a boon to the rest of us readers.

It may seem like Peyton Place sometimes (dating myself !), but for the most part the community, despite experiencing life's normal foibles, remains a positve, caring place to "live."

I miss my family and friends, somedays it's almost more then I can bear, but get by. I found out a few weeks ago from the hairdress of all people, that two of my best friends got married.

Conditional friend = Acquaintance

It still amazes me how we keep on thinking about unpaid coworkers as friends. Sometimes I try to excuse them because I know their minds are controlled, but enough is enough.

Hi Vennie....you poor kid. I know I know I know...how DARE they go about their lives and FORGET about us??? That so pisses me off. Didnt I mean ANYTHING to these people? How can they just move on? Dont they miss me at all? And then I remember they CANT acknowledge me....they cant. They arent happy about it. All that pretense of being holier than I am...when we both know they arent. It hurts them...hurts us...and theres not a damn thing we can do about it.

We all love you and your family. We cant replace the ones we have lost. Damn the Watch Tower Society...damn them all.

I have no compassion and NO forgiveness for them for what they have done and continue to do to their people. And KNOWINGLY do.

Just thought I'd make one thing clear, I was talking to some in the chat and well I don't know how many of you knew this, but when I left the borg I left the Guy I was in love with. He chose the Borg over me. I still miss him terribly since we'd been best friends, and so I was having some flashbacks I guess you could say, and the movie didn't help any! And I thought I was over him HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!

Well, I wasn't gonna see Pearl Harbor. But I might go now.

Critics here HATE it. The concensus of opinion seems to be that the film turns an important moment in the history of two nations, the world, and thousands of individuals, into a 2 hour commercial break for one's entertainment.

I AM interested that you got such a useful message from it though, Ven.

Philo, unless you have an experience like Veni tugging at you, ie. you left the borg, in love with her boyfriend, I have a feeling you won't like this movie.
