This always baffled me. Either pork is unclean and wrong to eat forever, or it was a load of bull to begin with.

Also Fat, the scriptures about fat say never eat it ever. Ok so they say we're no longer under the law but the Old Testament didn't say until a later date it said never. And what about raping unbetrothered girls? This was never against the law and slavery, why can't we have slaves, Jesus seemed to be ok with slaves.
If im not mistaken according to the Bible I can eat fatty pork while raping my young slave girl, isn't the Bible great!

That's why i'm stumped what to do. After fading from Watchtower I want to have a faith but... when I read all these things in the bible and ask critical questions non if it makes sense. But what does make sense is how my JW family is treating me and shunning me for raising issues. I have a brother who has 2 lovely children. What is happening in Australian seems to have no impact on him whatsoever. It's very scary that even when it comes to the safety of his children he still doesn't give a damm.

The OT's obsession of unclean things sometimes baffled me, too.
Pork was unclean, a menstruating woman was unclean, anything she sat on was unclean ... why did YHWH create things and then declare them unclean?

Deuteronomy 14:21 "You shall not eat anything which dies of itself You may give it to the alien who is in your town, so that he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner, for you are a holy people to the LORD your God You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk.
Hmm, so they themselves cant and shouldn't eat it due to it being unclean. But give it away or sell it is fine. Hypocrisy this is. Don't let a good thing go to waste. Don't give up the opportunity to make money from it.
I remember by brother having loads of hip hop and R&B albums. Loads, and he scratched them all against a wall and put them in a bin. Good for him sticking to what he believes. But he passed up on the opportunity to make some real good money.

Everything in that LIE-ble, Quran, and Talmud is for your enslavement. And I do mean everything. All three of the Jewish-based religions and their offshoots, and everything they got their grubby hands on, is about abstaining from everything that enhances spirituality and fulfillment. All three repress women, all three repress sexuality, and all three make such a stink of having any fun.
And yes, Judaism does proscribe pork. Islam does, too. Christi-SCAM-ity does not, yet they do proscribe eating blood (though they do not directly proscribe a medical blood transfusion). To me, it is senseless since eating pork in moderation, properly cooked, is probably not going to do that much harm to you unless you are sensitive to it.

Probability ...... some High Priest ate some under cooked pork and he got a little nauseous with some diarrhea.
from that point on pork was deemed unclean.
