Given that I an unwilling to subscribe to an Australian newspaper , can you provide any highlights from the article?
For example, when is it supposed to happen? Does it mean that their income and/or assets are now taxable? Is there any reaction from the WTS Australia branch office? Can they appeal? Will they?

"It is understood the Government plans to write to the Governor-General (the Queen's Representative in that country) David Hurley next month to ask him to allow the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission to revoke their charitable status which allows tax exemptions".
So to answer your questions Funky:
1. Next month.
2. Yes, if ticked off by the Governor General.
3. Not yet.
4. Yip
5. Yip

Great news !
Providing that their understanding is correct and the Governor General confirms it...
[Edit.. why does the Queen's representative have to get involved? It ought to be down to the Aus. Government ]

Blues brother, I am only speculating but because it was a royal commission, the governor general, as the Queens representative is automatically involved, even if its merely to rubber stamp the findings.

This is awesome!
However, is it just the Branch and not individual congregations?
