I spoke with Aztec last night.
She's in good hands right now.
Yes, she was evicted, and rather abruptly.
Someone stole her TV and other personal items, as they were put out on the curb outside of her former apartment. She was, of course, devastated.
It's difficult to be unemployed at this time of year. I know she walked miles upon miles through Detroit these last few weeks, applying for one job after another, having used me as a reference, I know she was not putzing about. She was out there busting her ass, looking for work: applying for unemployment benefits for the first time ever, just in case, nonetheless....government agencies, take their own sweet time.
Aside from that, our buddy iiz2cool, drove down to help her out, gathered what they could before the drive by scavengers took everything, and they'll be headed up here today.
She'll be staying here for awhile, and her son will follow shortly.
Turning 30, will be a moment she'll never forget.
Let's send her best wishes, and positive thoughts.
She'll be on Canadian soil by noon tomorrow.
