    Midwest,

    You're definitely their next target.

You see, your wife can't study with you, which means you're ripe for conversion, being married to her and all, and some lucky brother is going to get a 'ready-made' Bible study to count his hours on.

Not only that, but your wife being a JW will mean that you will feel more pressure to actually become a JW and stay one than a 'study' who has no family who are JWs. And of course they have heard over and over about men who came into the truth through the "good example" of their JW wives. It's practically a foregone conclusion, since you've already been to a few meetings and you're not an "opposer"...

So you have a very good chance of being that all important "study who came into the truth" that JWs salivate at the possibility of getting...it's definitely a feather in a JW cap to have studied with someone who actually went and became a JW.

All they have to do is compete for your friendship, and when you "finally decide to start studying" as they know you will, the guy you like best will have you as a study. In the world of JW field service, it doesn't get any better than that.

Think I'm kidding or exaggerating? I'm not

When you finally do completely drop out Mysterious, you'll see something interesting happen. You'll have lots of people that miss you, but they don't bother to phone or come visit you, with the exception of a couple of elders who want to see what your status is. You'lre only missed when you're not at the meetings. Do you get the same kind of "I missed you" when you call a sister you haven't talked to on the phone in a long time? Hell no.

When people are at the kingdom hall, they change into their styrofoam personalities. The WTS says "Jehovah's people are a happy people" so they have to prove that they are. The only time they do this is at the KH or in front of other JWs. When they're with their immediate family members or worldly people, their natural human behaviour shows.

Nos is right on the money about that. What is interesting about the love-bombing is that it usually happens when you're standing right in front of them. My mother has been ill (stroke and heart attack) and when I happen to come across a JW and they tell me how much they miss her, I ask them for some help. That cools their love pretty damn quick, let me tell you. Haven't heard much from them since. That includes all of the elder body, without exception.

Maybe you can try the same. Make it a burden for them - instead of just saying they miss you, let them prove it. You need a ride to the meetings, help with work around the house, whatever. Then see if they still love bomb you.
