The things she has come out with sound like some weird things I heard years ago that emanated from the bowels of some of the wt fanatics in that cong. she is so terribly sadly a victim of the ranting's of such ones.

    peace to you.

..... and food and water for three days and the toilets and lights at the kh will continue to work?

A few jobos have been questioning what they will do once the already meagre rags go down to 6 per year.

they've been verbally masturbating about how it's now time to get bible studies(tm). How the numbers will now increase.

It's really sad to see how the R&F try to justify the WBT$ austerity cuts. Laugh or cry?

Oh, and 'go bags(tm)'. Not much trust there that the imaginary trademarked god invented by the WBT$ will lend a hand.

They are so desperate to keep their fragile dream alive. A meringue has more structural integrity.

sad in a way to have a poor old lady in advanced years running around like this in a deranged state when she should be taking it easy and enjoying her retirement, its clear she is in the early stages of some sort of dementia, it just goes to show the damage that years of indoctrination does to a healthy mind, the talk of her other son travelling to the UK and holing up there until the end comes is seriously disturbed shit, she must have heard somewhere of this vast underground complex that was being built there where they will all hole up until the Big A has finished, the only problem is there is no vast underground complex, think we would have heard by now if the WTS were going to start with these kind of profound plans.

@ Berrygerry - When I was an active JW, the one topic which always stimulated conversation between JW.'s and got them excited was speculation about the timing of the G.T/Armageddon.

When it comes to alleged "new lights," everyone here, active J.W.'s - including your mother, should never forget this "carved in stone" truth; if it doesn't appear in something printed by the WTBTS, then they didn't say it.

WiFiBandit will be the first to let you know what's coming - not your mother.

I noticed from the reddit site as well, that there iseems to be a bit more hysteria than normal.

I wonder if this is just the result of a few JWs becoming a little more delusional, as a result of recent less-than-encouraging recent news. One part of the typical JW brain must be noticing consolidation, Hall sales and less printed material. Maybe other parts of the brain for some JWs are just ramping up the search for signs, to drown out any thoughts that they want to avoid thinking.

Has your mother been screened for early onset dementia? That sort of paranoia is a red flag....

@ The Fall Guy, top tract. In 1983, I started getting into U2. This started an era of good music for me. I especially loved Sunday Bloody Sunday. Brings back a lot of memories. I wish I was back there again.

Berrygerry, I can see why you are so concern about your mother. My thoughts are your parents may not be getting the right nutrition. Living in Florida for 40 years and being in mostly elderly congregations we would see from time to time older ones going off the deep end. Nine times out of ten after they got medical care it was found out they was not eating right. Their body chemistry was all out of whack. I remember one old fellow his wife had just died after a few months he was doing crazy things. After getting him to doctor we found out he was eating nothing but turnips.

It may be something else but you may want to look into this. The mind can really play a lot of tricks on us if it is not being fed properly. Then you add the crazy teachings of the cult you can see how this may be happening. I know this experience really sucks and I feel for you but there may be a reason for her thinking. I hope this can help. Take care. Still Totally ADD

    Absolute hysteria!

So where in the bible did these predications and dates come from?

    Just to remind everyone:

Up till now, WT has been wrong on every date they've put out there - 1799, 1914, 1915, 1925, 1943 (few months till A), 1975, late 80s, mid 90s, etc.

It's worth bearing in mind that WT has a 0% success rate.
