    hehee Okram.

Yup, there are two very good T-Bay folks on here: XJW_B12 and Calamity Jane.

My very dear friend, not a JW/exJW, is from Thunder Bay. He's so old his Ontario birth certificate says: Port Arthur. Yup, he's got Finn in him too.

There's some nice folks just down the road across in Minnesota. I think a few near Duluth, but not entire sure, but that's not exactly around the corner.

Good to have another Canuck on the forum! Yippee!

    Toronto here.

"Largest Finnish Community outside of Finland." Your nick was pointing that way as I first run across it. Anyway - tervetuloa Markku

I'm from Wisconsin but I've visited Thunder Bay. Does that count?

Great city. We visited there on vacation years ago when our kids were younger. Toured Fort Williams and camped at Sibley? Or is that in Minnesota? Anyway...awesome scenery up that way. Can't you see the Sleeping Giant from Thunder Bay? Hmmmm...can't remember all the details about that trip. Cathy L.

Hey hadenuf. Yes you can see the Sleeping Giant across the water from Thunder Bay.

If your family comes up here again, in the summer let us know we are always camping at Sibley (yes its in Canada and not Minnesota) throughout the camping season.

Hey Jane. I don't get out to Sibley much in the summer. Ski there quite abit in the winter. My Folks have a Camp (cottage) on Arrow Lake. That's where i spend most of my summer weekends. My mom misses lots of Sunday meeting to spend the weekend at camp with my daddy. Here's a Sunset pic I took from the dock.

Thanks calamityjane! Ahhhhhhhhh...such fond memories of our camping trip to Sibley. Our oldest son, now 26, was only 3 or 4 years old at the time (our youngest had not made it into the "picture" yet!)...and we had a 1978 blue chevy stationwagon loaded to the top with camping stuff. It was our son's first camping trip and he was petrified of the outhouses!! What a hoot....I was too. Yuk, yuk, yuk!!!! I just remember the long, long drive into that park. What a fun time. Well...that was over 20 years ago and because of health problems we had to give up the camping (except for Holiday Inn type camping!!). But every once in a while we get up to Duluth and Grand Marais so maybe one of these days you'll be hearing from us!!

What a great picture Okram! That should get some kind of blue ribbon or something!

I was from Duluth MN. My father worked in thunder bay when i was but a wee lad. Awsome wilderness country. I want to go up there and visit that general area. Now that I am older I can appreciate the true beauty of the land (but just not in the dead of winter). I think that he may have gone to some meetings up there but that was in the early 80's.

Ok Okram. you have my curiousity peaked. A few clues about yourself and you parents but still not putting a name to the face.

So, put your money where your closed eyes are.

We are having an open house christmas party at our house Friday the 19th. Are you willing to attend?
