Refusing to Report time in field ministry

What do you think would happen if I verbally refuse to report my time? It's been several months since I turned in my time and I think the elder got tired of asking me lol. Frankly, I think it's stupid that JWs are required to do this. It's a made up manmade rule like everything else. But I feel that if I tell the elders that I no longer wish to report my time they will start a witch hunt. I live a few minutes away from the KH, my father is an elder. I'm thinking of moving my publisher card to another KH and not attend just to get them off of me. I haven't been to a meeting in a year and I just don't want to go back to the man made rituals. Any suggestions?

My hubby is DF but wants to get reinstated. I just want to fade. I am still a believer but not in religion.

Don’t sweat the field service report crap instead work on your husband and his desire to get reinstated. Try and wake him up!

Don't give the wolves an excuse to attack you. Be the opposite of the non-conforming sparrow - keep quiet.

Faders suffer when they have any kind of discussions with elders.

Just send in a report with some reasonable made-up time if that gives you some room to breath. I got busted for that a few times while I was still in.

Report 1 hour every six months, that will FU their records when reporting irregular and inactive publishers.

If you haven't reported in several months, don't bother as they will soon stop asking.

I suspect once a person is deemed inactive, their publisher card will soon be hidden from the CO as that person becomes an embarrassment to the elders since they are proven ineffective in restoring the person's 'enthusiasim'. Your husband remaining an active member of that Cong, makes the situation somewhat more complicated since he remains there and can answer questions about you. The elders can't simply claim you moved away and they don't know where to.

As WT seem to use publisher numbers when stating the number of active JWs, it would be interesting to observe if the number of JWs worldwide would decrease if all PIMO persons who now report fake hours, stop doing so.

If you have not turned in your time for several months then you're so close to home you can hear your old dog snoring on the front porch.

As the Fall Guy says - if it ain't broke then don't fix it.

If and only if you are asked again then just say politely and firmly say "I have no report."

This may shut up the person asking or they may ask for details of why not etc. Just say "Well I appreciate your concern but like I said - I have no report."

If they ask if you are going to report again just say "I haven't thought that far ahead but for the time being I have no report."

If they ask a fourth time I believe you are perfectly entitled to say "I don't believe you are respecting my boundaries and I will not continue to discuss this point with you."

End with "Thanks, bye! Gotta go now." And walk away or put the phone down.

Well it sounds like you are making progress. You are not compelled to turn in time nor attend meetings....... those are just artificial measurements to measure your devotional level. If you don't do either of those things there is nothing they can do as long as you are not talking apostate talk to anyone who would turn you in. Or misconduct of a DF offense.

When you say he wants to get reinstated is that because he's a believer or because he wants his close family and friends back in his life?

I haven't been to a meeting in a year and I just don't want to go back to the man made rituals. Any suggestions?

Yes keep on fading. It appears you have created a fader's distance from the congregation....apparently they are not too concerned about you absence. So congratulations you are already in the process of fading.

How is this working out re your marriage?

It wasn't clear (to me) from your original post if you are still going out in service and not reporting or just not going out. I assumed just not reporting. I know it used to drive the elders crazy when they knew I had gone out (they worked with me) but I didn't turn in a Field Service report.
