What is it with Disney Star Wars? Why is it that seemingly everything Disney touches turns to shit? What the f**k are these scooters doing in The Book of Boba Fett?! 🧐

Part of the charm of the original trilogy was that the universe looked different, but lived-in for the most part. Going to see Star Wars in 1977 and seeing all the characters, aliens, technologies, ships and planets must have been so good.

And here we have shiny, 70s-looking scooters.

    But without wheels.

    F**k me

--Disney has destroyed every story they've ever touched. From 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea to Mary Poppins to Treasure Island. I don't know why they feel the need to do this.

    Boba Fett was so boring.

Moon Knight had a belting 1st episode then slipped down beyond boredom.

Film makers, script writers, the whole lot are out of touch with what the public want.

I wonder if we've reached saturation point where there is nothing new under the sun(tm).

It wasn't Disney that put a 1950s diner in Attack of the Clones. Space Vespas would seem to be in line with George Lucas' 'creative vision'. You know, 'It's like poetry, it rhymes!'

Star Wars (1977) had the creative input of the former Mrs Lucas. The subsequent movies took a nose dive once George Lucas had everything his own way.

Extra-terrestrial Quadrophenia is great if the story is engaging.

Sadly, it was about as interesting as a soggy Truth book(tm).

Pointing out a flaw in the prequel trilogy doesn't make Disney Star Wars products any better.

The magic of Star Wars pretty much ended with the final scene of Return of the Jedi.

Nevertheless, Disney were handed the most successful film franchise in history and somehow f**ked things up. 🙄

Yeah, and in the show, those scooters go as fast as a brisk walk.

I agree, those scooters in Book of Boba Fett were ridiculous. This was the only part I complained about in that series. It was real cool to see Jabba the Hut's cousins in the show along with a new rancor monster.

    This.

I'm a lifelong Science Fiction fan. Wife and I saw "Star Wars" at the first opportunity and loved every second of it. That is a great movie, even if bits and pieces of earlier works are scattered through it. The visuals are good, John Williams score if perfect.

The next two films were OK, but didn't grab me. I've pretty much hated everything since then.
