We Choose
Christmas is whatever we choose it to be.
For me: an opportuntiy to let friends know how much I appreciate them, a time to be together, a time to wish each other happiness and peace and a time to just have fun.

Hey Shamus! Glad you came back. Mail me one of your cookies :)
What's wrong with Christmas? There are a few things that do piss me off about it:
1) The majority of Christmas music. Sorry, but it's all very repetitive, and I can't stand hearing Celtic, Blues, Rock, Jazz, Choral, and Pop versions of the same damn song. I have a few select albums and versions I like (ie. Elvis' Blue Christmas album).
2) People in a rush. Nothing pisses me off more than assholes cutting in and out of Traffic to get their shopping done. I also believe I'm somewhat claustrophobic (sp?) and I can't stand crowded shopping malls.
3) I have very few people to celebrate Christmas with.
Now, here's what's right about Christmas:
1) Despite the crowds, I love Christmas shopping. It's a challenge, even an adventure to just enter a store, and pick something someone might like. I usually don't plan what I buy people. Being spontaneous is half the fun!
2) The feeling I get from Christmas lights and snow. I can't explain this feeling, but it's great!
3) Christmas Bonus from work & the time off.
4) Opening presents. That's the absolute best!
5) The Christmas goodies that are usually baked at Christmas time (except fruit cake).
6) Christmas dinners! A chance to pig out and get drunk.
