Have you ever been told that humility requires waiting on Jehovah?
I have. Lots of times. For decades. So, I got to wondering, why is the Governing Body requiring Jehovah's Witnesses to do something the Governing Body is not willing to do?
Genesis 40:8
At this they said to him: "We each had a dream, but there is no interpreter with us." Joseph said to them: "Do not interpretations belong to God? Relate it to me, please."
The Governing Body does not wait on Jehovah. Each time the Governing Body has changed any interpretation of prophecy, each time they have published their changed understanding of prophecy as the truth and as food at the proper time, and each time they have praised Jehovah for this revealed new light they have proved ... each time ... that they lack humility, that they are neither faithful nor discreet, and that they are unwilling to wait on Jehovah.
They claim their interpretations are opinions and best surmises and that they are not inspired.
Fine.
Then, what makes their interpretations "food" they received from Jehovah? Why would they dare to praise Jehovah for their opinions and best surmises? Jehovah didn't ever tell them to teach those opinions of men as truth, or to call them "food" from Jehovah, did he?
If they aren't inspired and are only stating their opinions and best surmises, why do they judge harshly other humans who disagree?
They stubbornly refuse to wait on interpretations from Jehovah, haughtily rushing ahead to teach human opinions as doctrines, then they hypocritically tell Jehovah's Witnesses to do exactly what they are unwilling to do.
Matthew 23:4
They bind up heavy loads and put them on the shoulders of men, but they themselves are not willing to budge them with their finger.
