Ya know...I'm not all that big a Krispy Kreme fan. I prefer Dunkin Donuts...more than that I like the little Mom and Pop places with Deep Fried Bear Claws. YUM
Oh LORD!!! What are they trying to do to me????

Tim Horton is really Santa .. right? Please say yes..
I live in a very, small town... and we have 4 TIM HORTONS..and they all do fantastically well.
Everyone I meet in this little tiny town has their "EYES WIDE OPEN"..
I drink tim horton's coffee at least 3 times a day. We buy the Tim Horton Coffee and make it at home...because the line ups at their joints are tooo long.
When in the states each summer we frequent Dunkin Donuts alot. Coffee is okay and they have more kinds of donuts.. but I have found their donuts to be "STALE"..on occassion.
I think Krispy Kreme is pushing into Canada.. up in Southern Ontario.. Then we will have the donut wars.

I just read the other day that the maritimes will be starting to have their Tim Horton donuts brought in by freezer trucks.. where they are presently being made right in the store. I don't know if I like that..
Only two other province pre make them and freeze them for transport to stores. I think B.C. and Ontario.
All the other provinces have freshly made.

I'm with jgnat.. it's Tim Hortons or nothing.
There is (was, actually) a Krispy Kreme franchise that opened up here in the spring. Canadians were not impressed enough to keep them in business. On the 22 km (13.2 miles) route that I take from home to work, there are 6 Tim Hortons shops, each and every one teeming with customers. The whole city is peppered with shops, and we love 'em all.
Love, Scully
