I found this waiting for me when I woke up...thought you'd like it

Christmas Present
In the corner stands a tree, bejeweled with light and glass
In silent glory sings a song, of celebrations past
Beneath the tree, the floor is bare, save for the snowman skirt
The time is short till Santa comes, with Christmas Eve it seems we?ll flirt
Its said it is the thought that counts, and thoughts to give abound
But the wallet?s thin and the coffers bare, as the what we wish; was snow covered ground
A white Christmas and a pile of gifts, is what I wish for mine
For those I love deserve the best, to laugh and love and shine
I think today I?ll shake the trees, of those who me do owe
With what falls out, I?ll buy those gifts, and pray to God for snow
Whatever it takes has never been, an obstacle for me
You see I?m making up for seasons lost, when I was less, than all, to three
My three are four and my world is warm, no matter what?s under the tree
If nothing else we?re all at home my wife my kids and me
