    Here we go......

    Dear Mr Ngema,

Thank you very much for contacting me. I would be very glad to help you.

To be quite honest, I'm very surprised that people would be willing to kill and die over the land in Zimbabwe. I've seen pictures and it looks like it is mostly dry desert land. Why do people find the land to be so valuable?

I'm afraid that I don't have a phone or fax number to give you as my phone has been disconnected. I am in the process of going through bankruptcy because my wife left me for her lesbian lover and then sued me for most of my possessions. The only thing I have left is some money I have hidden over seas. (hehe - I'd like to see her get her greedy hands on that!)

What do I need to do to get things started?

    Sincerely,
    Ima Sahony

    ========

    FROM; MR,JOHNSON NGEMA.

    JAHNNESBURG,

    SOUTH AFRICA.

    TELL:27-83-6922-474.

    ATTN:
You may be surprised to receive this letter from me since you do not know me
    personally,first, I am JOHNSON NGEMA,the first son of MR,DOUGLAS NGEMA.a
well famous famer, who was recently murdered in the land dispute in
Zimbabwe. I was furnished with viable information from the INTERNATIONAL
TRADE CENTRE here in Johannesburg and decided to contact you.
Before the death of my father, he had taken me to Johannesburg to deposit
the sum of (US$3o Million (Thirty Million United States Dollars) in a
security company as if he foresaw the looming danger in Zimbabwe.

This amount was meant for the purchase of new machines and chemicals for the
farms and establishment of a new farm in Swaziland. This land problem came
when the President of Zimbabwe MR ROBERT MUGABE introduced a new Land Act
which wholly affected the rich white and black farmers. This resulted to the
killing and mob action by the Zimbabwean war veterans and some lunatics in
    the society.
In fact, a lot of people have been killed because of this land-reformed act
of which my father was one of the victims.
It is against this background, that my family and I, who are currently
staying in South Africa decided to transfer my father s money to a foreign
account since the law of South Africa prohibits a refugee (asylum seeker) to
open any bank account or to be involved in any financial transaction.

As the eldest son of my father I am saddled with the responsibility of
seeking a genuine foreign account into which this money could be transferred
to, without the knowledge of my government who are bent on taking everything
we have got, and South Africa seems to be playing along with them. I am
faced with the dilemma of investing this amount of money in South Africa for
fear of going through the same experience in the future since both counties
    have the same political history.

More so, the South Africa Foreign Exchange policy does not allow such
investment as an asylum seeker. As a businessman, I have to entrust my
future and that of my family in his hands, I must let you know that this
transaction is risk free. If you accept to assist me and my family, all I
want you to do is to make arrangements and come to Johannesburg, South
Africa, so that you can open a non-resident account which will aid us in
transferring the money into any account you will nominate overseas. This
money I intend to use for investment.
I have two options for you, firstly, you can choose to have a certain
percentage of the money for nominating your account for this transaction, or
you can go into partnership with me for the proper profitable investment of
the money in your country. Whichever the options you want, feel free to
notify me. I have also mapped out 5% of this money for all kinds of expenses
incurred in the process of this transation.
If you do not prefer a partnership, I am willing to give you 25% of the
money while the remaining 70% will be for my investment in your country.

Contact me with the above telephoneor with this E-mail address.
    [email protected]

while I implore you to maintain secrecy required in this transaction. And no
matter the level of transaction we are in, You must keep this business
secret and confidential, Please send your phone and fax numbers on your
reply to me for easy communication.

    Thanks and God bless you.

    Yours Faithfully,

    JOHNSON NGEMA.

Silly Nigerians? They got nearly 4 million dollars from my step daughter's father-in-law. His son had him declared incompetent to handle the money for his business so he wouldn't keep sending them the company's money. It has gone bankrupt and he is trying to make it viable again. His dad just couldn't accept the fact that he was scamed and still thinks he is going to get millions back.Sad story, I won't go into any more details.

This is also known as the 419 and is one of the biggest and worst scams worldwide. Here is a web site dealing with the issue.

Hey Elsewhere! Hope you get your money out of your Nigerian buddy. If not, have fun leading him on. I'm on a small break from my buddies. Xmas is busy, and I don't have the time at the moment to make fake Western Union and Fedex documents.

Ken, this is terrible. According to what I've read, scamming is the 4th largest industry in Nigeria. Since I've become involved in scam baiting, I've come to realize that the people I'm dealing with are hardened criminals who would not hesitate to sell their own grandmother for a new Rolex watch.

The purpose of scam baiting, aside from the fact that it is intensely fun, is to occupy the scammer's time thinking they are going to be receiving nonexistent money, thus saving an innocent victim from losing their hard-earned money to a scammer. The more of these scammers we can bait, the more disgruntled they will become, and hopefully will eventually realize that their "industry" is not as lucrative as it once was.

I currently have about 16 scam baits running. Some of the stuff I have the scammers believing is absolutely outrageous. In fact, there is a possibility that I may have gotten one scam operation "stung". The fool was stupid enough to give me his actual bank account number so I could wire transfer $20,000.00 to him. I expect justice to be meted out when he comes marching into the bank looking for that nonexistent wire transfer.

By the way, I currently have 22 unanswered scam letters, in case anyone wants to try one (or more) out.

    Hi:
I used to post on here a while ago, my logon name was Freedomrules (minus the !!) but I can't remember my log-on, so anyway. I'm replying just because I work with these types of cases all the time. At any rate, baiting them is a very bad idea. Wish I coudl explain more but I can't.

there have been plenty of people over here who have had a great time baiting the 419'rs. Why does anyone still fall for this scam, are people that silly? Who would ever give their money to someone they did not know who had contacted them through junk mail?

Ahhh, Freedom... we all know that you're pitching a fuss only because you and your scam buddies are loosing out on a lot of revenue by us scam baiters!

Shhhhh.... don't anyone tell anyone... but the French government has determined that the Eiffel Tower is an undo attraction for terrorism, so they want to have it dismantled to reduce the risk of an attack. I have been awarded and exclusive contract to serve as the general contractor who will dismantle the tower. Make sure you keep this quiet and confidential as the French government does not want a public uprising over this!

Before we can begin, I will need a $25,000 (USD) deposit of "good faith" money from anyone interested in helping with this project.
