Like since three months ago, my smartphone's data is reaching the 35 GB mark. !!! Never watch movies in it, and beforehand used to be like 5 or 7 GB, any thoughts?

Wow! You can look in your settings to see which app is using the most data.
I think it's Snapchat that is very greedy.

Yeah, check the apps for usage. Some apps like Reddit are incredibly greedy. There's also a chance that you have malware that is using up your data so look for that too.
Even 5-7Gb is quite a lot of mobile data if you're not watching movies. 35Gb is kind of insane. Do you not have WiFi enabled and usable?
BTW: many apps have a low bandwidth option - you don't normally need YouTube videos playing in high def on a small screen so throttling that down will save a bit.

You would have be doing a lot of video (YouTube) and picture transfers on a data plan to get around 35 G.
Its best to just turn on the cellular data transfer on your phone only when you need to where there is no Wifi.
Perhaps calling your Cell service provider, they might have some more information for you ???

I doubt it, they shouldn't be tracking what things you're using and it wouldn't be specific enough anyway.
You need to look at your device, it could be web pages left running that at downloading things, mining bitcoin, acting as an anonymous proxy for others or whatever.
Your device can tell you what apps are using the data.

There are so many places that have Wifi running, such as stores, coffee shops restaurants , businesses.
I dropped my data plan on my cell just because of that saving $30 to $40 a month on my service.
Most service providers will still let you transfer text messages with photos without a data plan .

That mobile data will find things to open, then keep them open, slyly changing settings. You probably got a worm or whatever

I think my son is using your hot-spot. Don't use all my data means nothing to him!!!
