Just my two cents worth.
We live very close to the Big Business Steve Irwin Compound. He is generally known, I believe, as a 'nut case'. He is always being attacked by the crocs. That should tell you something. Do the crocs know the difference between a chicken and a baby?

Thats why old Stevieboy didnt give the croc a choice of whats for supper. He handed him the chicken instead.
You are right about Steve acting a little nutty but he does draw viewers by being that way.
