If it was the women that wanted to use this they would have few problems. But should a male want to use this, he may or may not be allowed any cong. privileges. If there is any doubt, he is not free of accusation. And if any of the Elders don't like him they could use it for veto any recommendation tendered for him to be an Elder or MS!

Thanks for the information Maverick. Believe I know what you are saying. My ex divorce me, the congregation I moved to in another state had to dig into my background to make sure I did not do anything wrong before they could use me. The irony is when she started going back to the meetings in state several years ago before she stop going all togther, where the brothers knew me, no one came to me to see about what she had been up.. they welcome her back with open arms and "NO" publisher card, because she claim she could not remember what congregation she had been to. So as far the the privilage thing, I told them I long time ago they could keep it -- I am not going to be like a child where some one dangles some reward if front of my face and expect me a grown man to do what they want to have privilages-- they can keep the privilages

Yes, they condemn themselves with their own words and it is so easy for you to condemn them using their own words against them. They make it so damned easy! But it wouldn't be as easy if they lived by my motto: "The less a man makes declarative statements the less apt he is to look foolish in retrospect." Don't put things you are not sure of IN WRITTING! That's common sense. You can't use white-out on things written in stone.
The elders place themselves in the seat of judgement and power and it was never theirs to take. They act as if they have the right to tell you what you can and can't do with your life and tell you that God will not approve of you. They are claiming to speak for God and that is the very ESSENCE of presumtuousness...a trait that is listed among those that God dispises.
Dont let this article fool you. This is where you find out just how NON unified they really are.I know someone who admitted to three witnesses (NON elders) about adultry. Since this person would not admit to elders They were told based on that same article that they were not free.

You should read the "Pay attention" book on this subject p111, p133-135.The bottom line is that the WTS leaves it down to the individual BOE to judge what is admissible.
At best what you have is something they deem "strong circumstantial evidence", which some will accept, and some not.
Believe me - I've been on such a case where I was the only one supporting the poor individual, who's life was subsequently screwed over! It makes my skin crawl, dredging this stuff back up into my memory!
The grounds that were used were on p111, under the subheading "What kind of evidence is acceptable?":
If there are two or three witnesses to the same kind of
wrongdoing but each one is witness to a separate incident,
their testimony can be considered.Such evidence may be used to establish guilt, but it is
preferable to have two witnesses to the same occurrence
of wrongdoing.

Thanks for the insight -- I have already faced what you are talking about. I have talked to several people in which their BOE would have taken the original information I presented to them. I have since provided more information to the elders. However, I am not going to let them keep me from getting married. When I called Bethel and spoke to the brothers there about my situation and how it was not right -- the brother had a nerve to say to me, he would have to face the same thing, I said to him no you would not have, because you have the flock book and would now how to get out of the situation. I also told him I am not afraid to be DFD as I do not see where it was showing mercy to ask people to do the impossible to prove scriptural freedom and I know the person has committed adultery. In my last letter to them, I challenged them with this line of reasoning -- I guarantee that most infidelity happened during the day like places of employment and not at night - how many married people can stay some where over night.......I see it as wanting to control a person life...
The thing that bothers me to is when they do make changes we do not see any apologies for previous mistakes for the sufferring it cause -- even the Almighty Jehovah felt hut in his heart for destroying man at the flood(Jehovah is never wrong) -- but I never see the society express such regrets -- they just make changes and kind of go oh well if it messed up your life -- then Jehovah will make it better in the new system.
