don't you remember the Watchtower told you that back sleepers are wankers, so you must sleep on your side.

    Never had that problem Seattle.

I get to sleep either on my back or side...depending on the moment of comfort.

Scully: enjoyed reading the analogy of the sleeping positions!!!

I never sleep on my tummy

I never sleep on my back

I sleep on either side. Usually I turn from side to side about 10 times then I fall asleep.

The funny thing is that my cat changes side of bed when I turn on the other side. She follows me...

    Buwahahahahahaahaha! Nice pic JH.

Maybe babe Whiskey would do it to anyone. The only problem w/ that dear is it leaves you open for pranks.

I am a side sleeper - always have been - well as long as I can recall that is.

Whenever I would try to lie on my back whether for sleep or just resting I used to get horrific anxiety attacks. I didn't learn until I was years into therapy that my anxiety attacks were related to the sexual abuse. Once I dealth with that I have no problem lying on my back and occasionally will roll over in my sleep and wake up that way - really new for me.

Since I sleep on a water bed being on my tummy is just not very comfortable - think sway back!

JH one of my cats follows me too. He used to sleep up near my pillow. But when I had my appendix out he decided to be protective and now always sleeps as close as he can to the scar. - Weird cats - makes you wonder what they know.

    SNG: what an interesting thread.

Honestly, when I look back, I used to sleep, somewhat like a falling man, when I was younger, then eventually on my back, post-JW.

Lately, I notice, and probably good for me, is that I sleep on my side (left to be exact).

Sleeping on my back used to drive the listening world crazy, as I'd snore like a rocketship (who needs that? NOBODY!).

Interesting thread SNG. Honestly, I never gave that much thought, as when I would pray to Jehovah, I used to lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, with tears welling up in my eyes, wishing/hoping he'd make all that ailed me: go away.

Regardless of what position in bed I was in, it got to the point, that I had figured, way back then, that Jehovah had stopped listening to me (found me unfavourable). So I just stopped, altogether.

Nonetheless, there has been much said about people and their sleeping positions.

Honestly, I think.....if it is possible, it's best to sleep on your side. I know once I started doing this (took some time) I slept better, and did not rumble the neighbourhood with my horrific snoring.

    Interesting thread/question SNG. Really.

i can't sleep on my back because i hear things. yeah, i won't go into any more detail than that. i can sleep on my back if i am not sleeping alone, i.e. someone is laying with their head on me and my head rolled to one side a bit, but if i face straight up, i have extremely violent nightmares. not sure why but always have since i was little kid.

sooo, yeh, i sleep in a mix of sideways positions, sometimes on my front, sometimes i switch which end of the bed my head is at a few times in one night.

I snore like a jack hammer if I sleep on my back, coupled with the fact that sleeping on my back gives both of our cats the opportunity to sit on my chest and play 'It must be time for breakfast so let's bop daddy on the nose' at 4am

Lady Lee, when I am away our cats either sleep in my spot of the bed or else snuggle up to my wife, especially if she is not well. I am sure the little things know when things aren't right
