I have a light tan rectangle on my belly that has grown and faded over the years. Hardly visible anymore but gets darker in the sun. My son has a birthmark on his upper arm that is very similar to one his uncle and my cousin have in the same place. Coincidence? Who knows. My daugher has a small tan mark on her shoulderblade that looks like a seahorse. My husband says it looks like a man in the moon. It's cool however you look at it.

My son had a small mark on his face when he was born, between his eyebrows. It was small and light and didn't bother me at all. I took him to the room next door where and elder and his bitch were in labor and they immediately pointed it out like it was a flaw. The mark was so light Mulan is probably wondering what I'm talking about. Last time I saw the elder in Costco, as they were hightailing it away from me his son was throwing a tremendous fit and I was laughing.

    Good topic!

It use to be a spaceship but it looks more like a foghorn now. On my hip. wonder what it means when your birth-mark converts?

I can't say I ever noticed it. Hmmm.

I was going to post about the "inherited" birthmarks too.

Another thing is moles. My mother and her mother both had 3 on their left cheeks, spaced the same in the same places. One is larger than the other two. I have the same ones. I always called the larger one a "beauty mark". To me, the coincidence of all three of us having them is pretty weird. Probably no one else ever noticed them, but all of us did.

I have a brown tone oval birthmark. When I was a young girl I thought it would be on my right breast, but as I matured, it ended up being just above....

I have two...........at least, hat have been with me since the beginning........one on the calf of my leg, about the size of a dime, medium brown in color.........the other one is right under my jawline........it consists of two dark brown spots.........I call it my vampire bite, because it looks like Dracula went for my jugular vein! My boyfriend has one on the cheek of his ass, about the size of a quarter, medium brown in color.......and even tho he is a strawberry blonde with freckled skin, he has a largish freckle on the very end of his nose that might be a birth mark. This is a really cool subject, thanks for bringing it up! The other night, I saw a Discovery channel program on himangeomas (sp?) This little girl had probably the worst case that any ever..........it was life threatening as it was growing down her throat! A Dr. in Arkansas, I think was able to reduce it with steroids and surgery! It was very interesting to watch!
