We should all write a review and flood it. We would be doing the author a service and help prevent people from becoming entrapped in this deradful religion. Some of us are better at expressing ourselves; I'm spelling/typing challenged. I have so many typos and all, well i'll leave the letter writing for u guys who are the pros.
Check this book review out.....

Did that person actually read the book? But..............that isn't allowed!!!

I don't think they did read it. All this person writes about is the title of the book and the use of the word cult. All of which can be seen without going any further than the synopsis.

A helpful review will leave one with the assurance that the reviewer did actually read the book, even if they were biased against the author's stance when they began, retained that bias after reading, and thought the book was garbage (or something like that). I have a measure of respect for such a review, even if I agree nearly 100% with the author and nearly 0% with the reviewer. However, someone who uses a "book review" as an opportunity (or excuse) to defend against "common objections," having no direct knowledge of the book's contents, would have been better off doing something else, and others can find better things to do that read such doubtless well-meaning, but completely misplaced, apologies. "It is not the time or place to preach."
The "reviewer" is reviewing what he/she imagines or surmises the author's ideas, arguments, experiences, and attitudes to be. That cannot possibly be "a good witness," in any meaningful sense. It's trather pathetic, and serves if anything to make thinking people wonder why someone would feel so threatened by such a book.

I sent in a review too.
I mentioned that active JWs are forbidden to read material from 'apostates', and so it was extremely unlikely that any current JWs who had blasted the book had even read it (which means they weren't really reviewing the book).

Do a book search for Awakening of a Jehovah's Witness
You can find the book at www.amazon.com also. Use the search tool to find the book.

Seems that one of the reviewers who posted an "opinion" on Diane's book also posted the same exact review on the book "I was raised a Jehovah's Witness" I think that is a pretty clear evidence of someone going around on the website and probably counting their time to post little presentations without even reading the book they are allegedly reviewing.

I have the book and read it too. That reviewer did not read the book, because he / she is ignorant of the facts in the book. Many articles written by the society are quoted in the book.He did not post one quote that shows Diane Wilson is not telling the truth.I would like to see that reviewer counter the raping of many of our dear sisters, and the scarringand emotional trauma, they have gone through because a bunch of men in the writing department say it is,it isn't,scream, don't scream. That reviewer has no idea what Diane Wilson went through along with many, many others because of the society's ever changing policies.I am not going to pick it apart piece by piece, but,if I have to I will.May Diane Wilson and others like her find peace and solace from those of us who share her experiences.

This person who did the bad review obviously is snowblind by the WTS. They have no real clue. The book is awesome, and clearly says it the way it is.
But of course the defenders of the WTS are going to blast her or anyone else saying what they don't want to hear. Congrats to all like Diane who stand up for what is right, and tell others about it.
