Who here remembers The Liberal M.S. from H2O? I drove to Philly to hang out with him on a weekend in 1997.
Soon after that I spent several weekends hanging out with fjtoth and his church, which was super fun.
Since then i have met and hung out with Harmony, Naeblis, Ashitika, SpiceItUp, and some strange Italian fellow who keeps asking to borrow my webcam.
Her Ladyship, at Eman's BBQ in 2002, shortly after I left the borg. She made me feel immediately at home AND remembered my name, even with so many there.
I'd met some other ex-JW's, who don't post, but the first time I met posters was that day. It was a wonderful time.
Since then, I've lost count, but fully intend to add to the tally

Country Girl and her hubby were driving to New Orleans a coupla years ago and they invited me to meet 'em for lunch at Olive Garden here....She's a "hoot"

I believe the first one I met was back in 1993 or so before the worldwideweb was online, when it was just mailing lists, and that would have been a gal named Pixels from Texas. Since then I've met so many I can't remember! But from here I've met tons!!!

Well Nina and I already knew Jesika from when she was a child, and we all hooked up together again on the Silent Lambs guest book. But the first apostafest we went to was October 2002 at Gloria's. I was a little nervous about going, and Nina and I went with the expectation that we would be ignored like we were at JW gatherings, so we were only going to stay for a few minutes and then have a quiet dinner out together.
When we walked in a tall, lanky dude in dreadlocks, and on his second six-pack, walked up to us and gave us the biggest hug. Valis introduced us to everyone. Let's see if I can remember who was there, Six, Megadude, Elsewhere, Shuterbug(?), XW, Heaven, Jesika, JoeSchmo, Nativenyr23 -- I know I'm missing people!
Anyway, we had a grand time and ended up staying for several hours. It meant a lot to both of us that we just accepted for who we were. No judgment, no one looking down their nose. What a difference!
Our JW babysitter wasn't too happy when we got home at 11:30, since she said she wasn't going to get enough sleep to stay awake for the Watchtower study in the morning!
I met Six of Nine, Notperfectyet and Sassy when we were all active jws, posting at another board. After I got df'd, I started posting here and went to Oktoberfest and met patio, plumcrazy and heathen (I think that was her name).
I knew Fe203grl before this board. Erm, I think the first from the board was Latte, if I remember rightly. She was lovely - I was so nervous because it was my first apostofest. Since then I've met quite a few people from the board including the board GOD (Simon), Goddess Angharad, and others! (the most Divine of all is Littletoe, of course....)
