I'm at that point right now, not believing the society's view on certain Bible subjects. So I've avoided going out in service, until I can find something to talk about. Probably something about how wonderful our Creator is and finding scriptures praising him...I would be comfortable with that and The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived. I haven't read the new book yet, Draw Close to Jehovah, so I don't know whether I could "place" that or not.
Is there anything that you preached door to door that you didn't believe in

If you do go out and preach "your version" you'll still be representing the Watchtower organisation, and anyone you get interested will end up learning their lies.

Even in my most rabid JW days -- through pioneering, Bethel (where I held several positions of responsibility) and as an elder, I never fully bought into the notion that we had a monopoly on decency, honesty and integrity, and that 99.9 percent of humanity was going to die; I believe that many, if not most JWs wrestle with this dogma.
Interesting how so many of the JWs who hold to the Society's line on this issue, somehow rationalize that this doesn't apply to their favorite aunt Nellie, or some other kindly non-dub relative.

Here's something interesting. I know of 2 inactive "anointed" JWs that are planning on going from door to door to preach to people about the hope they have and the hope that others can enjoy----going to heaven.

I don't think my major problem was with preaching something I didn't believe in, but trying to recruit people into a religion that I didn't enjoy. Also I knew I was never cut out to be a salesman, but here I was being forced to be one. I'm a problem solver, not a product salesman. This was my biggest issue. Why should I sell magazines when I have no desire to? This explains why I never had any RVs, under 10 placements throughout my total Publisher career, and rarely spoke at the door blaming it on my shyness.

I believed it all. When I found out it was a lie I stopped going out in service cold turkey. Didn't want to be responsible for someone inadvertently coming into this cult.
