Sure they are. They attend regular KMS seminars where a WT drone covers mind numbing diatribe as to what to pursue and how to pursue it. Were you asking are they trained to do this without permanent harm to their victims? NO! But that is not their problem. No one would even be there if is were not for the wrong doer engaging in sin. So if they are harmed, it is just 'reaping what they have sown'. ( sorry if my sarcasm offends anyone)

Steve, they are doing great, except for one problem...I can't get them to stop growing! Emma is turning seven on the 29th and Madeline will be five on the 21st. Oh well, I think I will keep feeding them anyway...can't keep them from growing...might as well keep them happy & healthy...LOL!

At that my father blasted them, told him what he thought of all of them personally, and resigned as an elder. He and my mother faded away, just after I did. My sisters faded away also .

I have to admit when I was before the elders for sexual misconduct (and yes it included sex), they were pretty decent as well as how they asked and how much they pushed for details.

I have sat on many JC's made up of the right kind of people who treated everyone with dignity, if that word can be used in the context of this discussion. I'm glad you were luck but it is a shame it only delayed your exit. stillajwexelder

Yes it IS still going on. The WT told these boys years ago to back off and not pry so much. But then they come out with more 'admonishment' to be thorough and make sure they have the 'complete' picture before taking action. So I'm sure there is still a lot of this abuse going on. There are some good men left behind in the organization, Mouthy. And they hate this like you do. But to add hardship to what has already been done, Steve was talking with an old friend tonight and found out what happened to Jane. She did get re-instated several years ago. But he found out that she has since committed suicide. *big, heavy sigh*

A JC that has established gult does not df for that reason according to wt guidelines, but the df is based on nonrepentance.But since elders cant read the heart how can they df if they dont know if the person was truly repentant, thus the valve it is better to err on the side of mercy.

Point is that guilt has nothing to do with df.

Here is the thing: the vile act does not determine a dfing but its whether the person was repentant on or before the judicial meeting

Elders cannot beat round the bush and are not prying when in the course of a judicial hearing they ask specific questions whether the enjoy asking such questions or not, it is their job.

OBGY docs are professional and educated, carefully utilising established ethics - and those being examined are not under the threat of being "de-loved" by their own kin if they don't divulge their most intimate feelings.

but it has to be done ? To a non-jw this practice sounds like something that people should be jailed over - and with long corrective management for perpetrators - such antisocial behaviour (sin) is plainly a cause for concern.
