""The British space programme is modeled after "Dr. Who" and Tardis.

Let us yanks do what we do best. We'll invite y'all along later.""

    NN:

LOL! I?m rolling on the floor! ..Dr, Who.....I can?t take it.....good one.

"Building up a huge budget deficit is a handy ploy""

The misinformation never ceases to amaze me. The fact is the current deficit is 3 percent of our GPN. This is half of the historic 6 percent. We are doing fine.

To illustrate: Right now, if America were an average citizen making $60,000 a year, his budgetary deficit would be $2100. Big Deal.

Whatever happened to Bush's pledge to rid Africa of AIDS?

Bush committed 15 billion - a tiny fraction of the cost of going to Mars and all that is hoped to come out of it is that anti-retroviral therapy could become available on a much wider scale, while 30 million people in Africa have AIDS and 90% of people with AIDS in Africa do not know they are infected.

The cynical side of me says this idea did not fire peoples imaginations or improve Bushs' popularity enough.

Yep, good ol' Estes rockets - made in Colorado, USA!

It is great fun to build and launch model rockets, but I'll confess: mine were a bit more like model missles - I wasn't too concerned about things like parachute recovery - I just wanted to see that firecracker fly!

Excuse me but no one will rid Africa or any other country or continent of AIDS unless every male is castrated and every female has her private parts sewed up. AIDS is a behaviorial disease and until people decide that spreading their legs for anyone who comes along is a dangerous and self destructive habit you will always have AIDS and other diseases. I don't see that this country has an obligation to save everyone from themselves. They have to do that themselves.
