there are still circumstances that prevent me from completely leaving for now.

I hear you. It's not so cut and dry to leave loved ones behind. My husband and I are in a similar situation. Can't completely leave yet because of family.
I've read on this board that leaving the Jw's is a journey that does not happen all at once. The first steps is to leave it mentally. You can do this by educating yourself first. This place will help immensely.
