Freddy Vs Jason was ok. Wasn't scary at all though. One of the deaths near the end is funny though.

Argento is great. Deep Red, Suspira, Inferno etc.

Also try and see The Eye and Dark Water. 2 very good japanese horror movies.

The Others is a spooky movie.

"Henry: Potrait of a Serial Killer" convinced me to purchase an alarm system for the house.

"28 Days Later" is good. An updating of the zombie movie with really spooky effects of hyper-fast zombies and great shots of a post-apocalypse deserted London.

Hated 28 days later.. probably because I went into it with way too many expectations based on the hype...

Blair Witch... Absolutely one of the best, most original creations I ahve seen in a long time... but it only "works" the first time you see it, and only if you know nothing about it...it just doesnt work the 2nd time thru... much like "Signs".

Freddy vs. Jason... a great flick, even more so if you are a fan of those 2 series... I like the fact that there was a bit more background to both Freddy and Jason... Hell, I even liked Jason X.

    "Why won't you die?!!?"

Best one I have seen recently at the theaters has to be a tie between the remake of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and Rob Zombies "House of a thousand corpses"... While not particularly scary, I liked the obvious homage to the genre itself.

Another surprisingly good one is "Wrong Turn"...

I like scary movies... but Scary Movie 3 really bit... trying to be way too obvious in its spoofs...

I'm not a proffesional movie critic, but I did stay at a holiday inn express once...

    Valis,

I thought "American Psycho" was hilarious. In fact, I'm sure it was a black comedy, albeit not for every taste.

I liked all the scenes between Freddy and Jason, but as is often the case with horror movies, the normal human characters were utterly annoying and served as nothing more than monster fodder. Although then again, that is part of these movies charm as well. Me and my friend had fun guessing which of the stupid teenagers was going to get axed next.
