My all time favorite is: THE GOOD THE BAD and THE UGLY
My vote would be for Metropolis, made in 1926. C'mon, nobodys mentioned great silent film! How 'bout it?
Probably Gone With the Wind, or The Godfather (all parts) Ben_Hur was good too.
They aren't my favorites though. But, I appreciate how good they were.
Legends of the Fall, The English Patient, Road to Perdition and my new favorite...Cold Mountain. Oh...and of course all the Lord of the Rings movies.
Okay here are some more: The Blues Brothers. To Kill A Mockingbird was indeed a good movie though very sad. I liked the Hayley Mills version of the Parent Trap because of the chemistry between Maureen O'Hara and Brian Keith. Maureen O'Hara could teach these young actresses a thing or two about subtle, sexual fire.
Hey, we all forgot Oh Brother Where Art Thou. George Clooney blew us all away. Who would have thought such a hot man could possess the charm of Cary Grant plus his comedic genius? Not to mention a very good and different soundtrack. The script and cinamatography was superior. I could go on but I won't.
You're welcome.
