Thank you AverageJoe1. I read them over and wondered whether some MS would go to an elder and "fess up" his watching porn online. What if the elder was in the same boat? Would he say, "Well, don't worry about it. It's not that big a deal." I doubt that, since if he did, it might eventually come back on him when he is found out. So then it really looks like he'd have to hypocritically counsel the MS not to do such bad things while he himself is doing the same. I don't think this scenario is so impossible. I remember elders who carried on illicit sexual relations with sisters or more commonly with "worldly" women, cheating on their wives, for years, DFing others while doing so, and then finally being found out, or just quitting one day, abandoning their wife and kids, and shocking their fellow elders.
It seems like porno watching would be more common. Therefore, the above scenario must be real.
The GB must see this as a genuine problem, the way they keep bringing it up over and over.
Another thing that struck me is how even the CO has very little leeway to add his own stuff. Even for them every moment is scripted. It really has become an organization of robots, speaking only what they have been told. Hardly Heb. 5:14!
Perhaps the scripture that best describes the org today is that one from Ecclesiastes, repeated several times, "Nothing new under the sun. Everything is vanity and a striving after the wind." That is probably the most depressing, negative book in the Bible in overall spirit.
