LOL @ RayZ and Gadget, see what I mean??? A perfectly innocuous observation about how hard I work at my job, and the subtle innuendos commence.
code, as a matter of fact, Kate and I live just across from the Nike campus (yeah, the bodacious world headquarters in Beaverton, OR, USA !!)...Phil has a really nice trail around the site...supposed to be for joggers, but us old folks with our walkers are welcome to use it.
Craig <----off now to check his bp and heart-rate.
Well if physical activity is a part of your normal daily routine or job, maybe you don't need any more physical activity. I was in the best shape of my life when I worked part-time at night as a cargo handler doing a lot of lifting and fast paced moving of packages for one of the overnight freight companies. I probably could have used some cardio however. Maybe you do want to add some cardio if your job already provides all the weight lifting you need. Before our society moved into a sedentary lifestyle, there was no need for health clubs or fitness centers. Physical activity was just a part of life.
Now for a sexual comment. I have noticed lately a few news reports about the health benefits of sex. For example, on the tv news two nights ago, it was reported that regular sex can reduce the chances of getting prostrate cancer.
Actually sex is a natural physical activity that is good for you.. burns caleries.. give you a good workout!
Off the sex part.. we just moved to a new apartment complex with a work out room.. We plan on getting in a routine and using it.. my bf says we have to buy workout outfits first though.. huh.. country girl like me didn't know that.
(I give this thread like, maybe, 2 posts max, before somebody decides to go sexual)
In the subject of exercise, sex cannot be ignored. It is probably the best exercise there is. It can be a great aerobic workout. As has been mentioned before, regular sex can reduce the chances of getting prostate cancer. Also, as a doctor once told me, regular sex can also strengthen the lower back muscles, and in the long-term help to reduce lower back pain. Sex is obviously beneficial for one's mental and emotional well being as well.
Of course, any exercise needs to be practiced regularly to achieve it's maximum benefit. Unlike weight training, which requires rest periods to allow muscles to rest, sex has no such limitations. It can be performed daily; several times a day for maximum results.
I'm convinced that if people simply had more sex that we'd have a much healthier society.
