I've been away for a minute.......did they basically drop a "sorry not sorry" study article? Or is it more of the "believe everything we say, but we're not infallible wink-wink?"

J.F. Rutherford changed this in 1927to apply only to the members of the "new creation," the anointed. "Some members of the new creation will be on the earth at the time of Armageddon." (W27, 2/15, p 62)
Then in 2008, we were told: "As a class, these anointed ones make up the modern-day 'generation' of contemporaries that will not pass away 'until all these things occur.'" (W08, 2/15, p 23-25)
This explanation was a return to the one offered in 1927, which had already been discredited.AM: consider this:
Armageddon, the GT is part of "all these things."
Wt did not return to the w27 teaching. they hold now that the New Creation, the Anointed Generation, will die before the Great Tribulation, Armageddon.
Contradicting Jesus, who's whole point of timing was, that the generation would survive "all these things", the End.

My question to you is this:
When I was a JW I was taught this distinction,
The Bible and it's writers were INSPIRED,
Watch Tower writings are not,
The Bible cannot fail as it is "inspired"
Watch Tower writings can fail as they are not,
Governing Body (F&DS) have never claimed to be inspired by Holy Spirit
But only DIRECTED by Holy Spirit,
(Btw I believe this distinction to be soley a JW invention)
So if my memory serves me correctly
What's new in what was written in the above Watchtower?
