Betty, as far as I know, is a nickname for Elizabeth. I'd hate to be that guy.

I noticed Betty and Jodie in the helpers list and wondered ........
Just Googling around I found this on a baby name site
”Betty is predominantly a girls name, with 99.64% of Bettys being girls, and 0.36% being boys.
In the United States there have been a total of 3619 males named Betty, and 999979 females given the name”
Well well well...

Judge Rutherford had TWO female "helpers". they went everywhere with him. lol.
I had a female book study conductor in our home in the 60s.
We had a Sister do the accounts in the 60s and compile the time reports.
One mentally slow elder in the 70s had his wife write all his talks.

Back in the day….
when I was a commuter Bethelite, i interacted in the finance area with a sister who certainly wielded authority. It was procedure in the branch office to seek her approval for certain administrative decisions that needed to be made.
(Not that in any way do I resent that now, but it was definitely significantly ‘different’ at the time)
Sorry, but I think it best not to name us all from that time. But I served as a director of one of the Society’s corporations and so longtime posters will understand why with personal circumstances I do not name “names”.🙂
Cheers,
Ozzie 🍷
