I promise you it was Valis that called in, I recognized his voice. You did good Valis.
Great job Jeff !!! The folks that attend Church and listened to that program will, no doubt, have a number of hard to answer questions the next time the dubs come around.
I couldn't figure out how to switch my radio to AM (I know, I know) and I couldn't get the web site to work--so I'll look forward to hearing the rebroadcast this evening. Glad it went well.
Thanks Jeff for putting this together. It would be maybe a good tie in to the blood issue, or millitary service, w/the whole "conscience" thing. BTW, my grandfather went to ww2 as a conscientious objector and drove an ambulance. He got back and resumed meetings...I think they didn't like him wearing his combat boots or something...he told them to go get bent and never went back...*LOL* Such a convoluted set of rules, its no wonder we have to have radio shows and websites and freakin therapists and lawyers, and great people like Jeff! Thanks again!.

Well...I did my "apostately" duties and called in and I got thru!!! Boy...was I ever nervous...and I would have liked to say a whole lot more! I'll tell you...when she prayed with me I was in tears! And this from someone who was so pulverized by the witnesses that sometimes I think I'm an atheist but still desperately want to believe. Great program and I'm glad I got to say something. Now I'll be bouncing off the walls all day thinking about what JW's do to innocent people. SHUNNING should not be in anyone's vocabulary. Cathy L.
Hadenuf...I was wondering who Cathy from the land of cheese was...*LOL* You did great and I think you helped show it isn't a simple thing and it really does effect people's social and spiritual lives.

how can i hear it ? I clicked on the link (which btw, i thought was a joke b/c it was kFUo) is ther a link to the broadcast? i want to hear it!!!
TY Valis...yes...I am not ashamed to admit that I am a certified cheesehead. So WAS that you that also called in? If it was...you did good. I wish that show had been 4 hours! I want the whole world to know what the JW's REALLY do to people...ahhhhhhhh...must get back to my new book on forgiveness. Somehow I don't think it's gonna help. Cathy L.
Somehow I don't think it's gonna help.
*LOL* you mean the book or calling in? *LOL*
Ya it was me. I felt for one second it was being presented a bit too cut and dry, as if the impression was that there was an absolute when it comes to shunning. And there is, but the end result isn't the same as the lack of one rule accross the board. Have a good day Cathy and stay warm!

I missed a big part of the show at the beginning. Couldn't make my sound work... (plug it it, you dummy).... I wished someone would have talked about how JW parents are expected to shun their own children, children to shun their own parents, and how families are torn apart. Cathy did. It should have been emphazised that the WTS website insists that disfellowshiping doesn't severe family ties.... yeah, right! Also, the WTS affirms that anyone can quit being a JW without any repercussions... They are such liars, manipulators, creeps.
