Is there a JW on the planet over 40 who isn't overweight or suffering from diabetes?
I certainly don't wish ill on any of them health-wise, but the Dub diet must consist of Big Macs and soft drinks.

I'm sure we've all known or have heard of jw's who do nothing to take care of their health. Poor diet, no meaningful exercise, and constant stress "over this system of things". I've personally had several jw's that I know tell me that; "I don't need to worry too much about taking of myself now because jehober's going to give me a new body in "the new system" anyway."

To which I snidely reply, " Why would jehober give you a new body when you show such blatant disrespect for the one he already gave you"?

    just saying!

All your observations are spot on Terry. The majority of JWs in their 50s and over that participated in some form of full-time service in their youth are now a tired, frustrated unhappy bunch. They are now nervously worrying about their finances and personal health issues. They kind of got a “deer in the headlights look” as they contemplate the fact that the “end” never came to solve all their problems. They just unexpectedly got old like everyone else alive before them but never prepared for it.

Ah but not the leaders of the WTS like the GB members , they know they have their hands on obtained millions. $$$

They dont have to worry about money, food and shelter as well health costs and they get to play in swimming pools and tennis courts.

Sounds like a good retirement package.

They just have to spin some fear mongering BS to keep the WTS on going .

The Watchtower Corporation was built upon speculative bullshit, exploiting the belief in the bible as well the general public's own ignorance.

They don’t know the trouble of mortal man and their paunch is fat..

I’m paraphrasing here, but I’m pretty sure that’s a scripture that applies the GB, especially TOMO and Sandwichgone..

Have you heard this saying about procrastination?
"Why put off until tomorrow what you can do today?"

Well, if we distill the essence of JW theology for practical content we

find the opposite message loud and clear:
"Put off until Armageddon everything normal people do to make life better."
    Tim is short.
Life's importance, quality, and character are destroyed by Watchtower's message because it isn't the call to action which has practical benefits.
It is corrupt, inverted, counter-productive and unnatural.

All of those 8 million people are waiting for the Jehovah bus while standing in the rain without an umbrella. That bus has not yet arrived but it is due any minute. Except...it's not coming.
