LaToya's status I can't verify.
LaToya is no longer a JW, according to her biography she put out a few years ago.
The book has several interesting sections about what it was like being raised a JW, how difficult it was for Micheal to deal with the JW thing, how he wrestled with if he should leave it or not...very interesting. The book is not great or anything, but the JW parts are very interesting.

I wouldn't believe too much of what MJ says after he was caught in a bold face lie. On the interview with that British guy MJ adamantly stated that he has only had 2 plastic surgeries. I have seen expert plastic surgeons say that he has had something like 30 operations on his face. If he would lie on just a small insignificant thing like this, I don't believe a word that he says. So this is no surprise here that he has been caught in another lie
This is something that concerned me also. I always believed the guy and stuck up for him........but if he truely lied SO WELL about his surgeries, would he also lie about other charges? I realise an entertainer of his caliber must protect certain things about himself and a lie here an there is also told by other entertainers....such as their drug usage.
Him telling a lie in one area doesn't make him a liar in all things obviously, but lies about a matter that isn't significant, raises suspicion about his honesty

That reminded me of the gossip, that was going on in congregations in my area. We "heard" that meeting attendance at the KH where MJ was attending was way up, and some were referring to MJ as the Michael referred to in Daniel 12.
