Claim: that the "7 trumpets of Revelation chapters 8 - 11" were 7 talks given at Bible Student conventions in the 1920s.

You've hit a sore nerve with me with that comment.

One of the the only reasons I am still in the Borg is belief that the horn-blowing started in Cedar Point Ohio in 1922.

To me, that is a pillar for out beliefs. Without the horns, what do you have left?

The point is that the entire foundation of WT Religion is determined, not by exegesis but by eisegesis. They make the Bible say whatever they wish by adding names dates places talks etc. It's called interpretive abuse. It's just as legitimate to preach that the man who discovered the treasure in the field and buried it till he gave up everything to buy the field was Joseph Smith who discovered gold plates in a field in upper state New York in 1827 which was translated later into the book of Mormon.

Claim that the innumerable Great Crowd of Revelation 7 are all Jehovah's Witnesses.... yet not one of these who have died since 1935 have come out of the tribulation which is a qualification of Great Crowd membership. So numerically and experientially, the WTS has misapplied Revelation 7 and mistaken the identity of the Great Crowd.

    Just found this one:

systemic contradiction – jws boast about fighting for religious freedom – that is their freedom to share their differing views with people outside the organization - yet there is no freedom amongst members to disagree with any official teaching within the organization without the threat of losing friends and family

The G.B. are like those "Gods" described in the Bible

They have ears but they cannot hear ( TTATT)

They have eyes but they cannot see (TTATT )

They have mouths but they cannot speak (TTATT )

And their followers have become just like them.

Unable to see hear or speak the truth about the truth

    i. Claiming the resurrection to heavenly life already began around 1918, when the Bible clearly indicates it is to happen after the Great Tribulation:

    • 1 Corinthians 15:52 indicates this resurrection begins at the sounding of the "last trumpet"
    • 1 Thessalonians 4:16 associates "God's trumpet" with the first resurrection.
    • Matthew 24:29-31 speaks of a great trumpet sound occurring at the gathering of the anointed after the Great tribulation.

Thus the NT indicates the resurrection begins after the Great Tribulation.

Island Man...that scriptural study is excellent. Thank you. Like 1878, 1918 makes no sense as the date the first resurrection began.

Another gem: Watchtowerites expect you to receive their organizations literature, but are religiously opposed to receiving yours.

The ending evaluation about the JWS religion is that it was constructed by novice Bible scholars (C Russel, J Rutherford ) who own and operated their own publishing house.

They lured people into their organization through deception and manipulation contained in the articles they wrote and published..
