I posted something with the same theme on the old H2O but from the perspective of early American history. I suggested that the subculture (ex- JW as represented by the board’s participants) had characteristics of the larger culture from which it sprang (WTS). I was blasted by a couple of the board members who let it be known that I was stoned out of my mind and nothing could be further from the truth. You’ve been able to say humorously what I couldn’t otherwise.
You’re right: sociology is lots of fun. I could stand and watch people all day. It’s better than going to the zoo.
