Anybody else catch the May broadcast where Kenneth Cook describes in some detail the prophecy of the King of the North and South and why they believe that is now Russia as the King of the North ?
It is placing themselves at the centre of world events....
They seem to change who the king is anytime they want. They would be much better off if they stopped speculating.
Ah, without speculation what would they have? It's a religion based on empty promises.

During the cold war they believed and taught that the U.S.S.R. was the king of the North .
And after the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. was disbanded it lay in limbo for a time .
Now its Russia? I think they would be better off saying its China, with her military build up/expansion taking place.

I will say....there are so many good sites with discussion elements and lively comments. A few on the top of my head such as New York Times, MarketWatch, TheHill and others. I do find it surprising the comments/posts that are here about the stock market, politics and other general interest topics. I never come here to read and discuss topics such as finance, world events or politics unless of course there is a JW slant.

Because Russia is "persecuting" JW's. Funny that if the KOTN attacks the KOTS then would that not mean that the WTB&T$ is the KOTS who also is destroyed? Just asking. Not that it means a thing to me anymore.
How about suicides of people which this religious cult causes directly and indirectly ?
I know its not a pleasant subject to talk about but I think it reminds us that this religion can deeply effect people psychologically.
I reminisce about how many people committed suicide while being an active JWS myself and I find it disturbing and I have been out 20 years or more.
Even one experience here which involved a member named Oompa, I guy who started to have a drinking problem which lead to him having an accident on a motorcycle badly injuring himself . He apparently took a blood transfusion while at the hospital which lead toward a DFing procedure by his congregation for that and heavy drinking. His wife left him and separated which brought on a deep depression provoking him to take his own life with a hand gun.
There are unfortunately too many stories to tell about people who were involved in this religion with all of its strictly enforced penalties and association rules and how they have provoked many to commit suicide.
Shame really.
About the WT I want to talk about ideas on how to start a 5th column to bring forth dissention and foment chaos within the b0rg.
Rocket man I don’t know of many JWs that committed suicide. In my experience it’s extremely rare. And I remember Oompa. Sad situation.☹️
