waton, when you wrote: “Often there are surprises when silent and distant parents have their will read.”

it literally made me jump because my dad did the same to me. I was the only one who never bothered about dad's will, never talked about it--yet I got more than everyone when the will was finally made known.

venus: As a parent when you make sure your children get inheritance according to each one deserves, there is a communication in that act. Similarly, God has put in an invisible mechanism whereby every one receives what he deserves or takes birth where he deserves to be in. It takes more than ordinary seeing to see this.

Venus, is your view of "love" one of conditions?

Are you aware that there are parents in this world who do NOT give inheritance according to "what they deserve" because the parents simply see ALL their children as deserving of loving kindness?

Do you have a concept of unconditional love?

Similarly, God has put in an invisible mechanism whereby every one receives what he deserves or takes birth where he deserves to be in.

Oh. So, is it God's "invisible mechanism" that has determined that each and every human being on this planet is "getting what they deserve"? Is it God's Invisible mechanism that is responsible for this?

Interesting question! In effect, you are asking "is law of cause and consequence working according to conditional love or unconditional love?

Experience shows it's just blind--you can bring it to your benefit if you want or to your harm if you want--it is you who decide it. For example, use moderation in your eating habit, it brings good health comparatively. Use excesses, you will reduce your life-span.

Don't be obtuse. And don't misdirect.

You know exactly what I am asking and my question is far simpler than that.

You are/were speaking about "God" and using your experience of parenthood as an analogy to understand your concept of what/who "god" is. And now you have changed up your language and pulled the discussion into the "law of cause and consequence".

Stay on track. Keep it simple. Don't be obtuse and misdirect.

So. No. In effect, I am not asking you that. I am asking you exactly what I had said - within your concept of love (not law of consequences...blah, blah, blah....), does it include a concept of unconditional love?

It is a simple yes or no answer.

Experience shows it's just blind--you can bring it to your benefit if you want or to your harm if you want--it is you who decide it.

    Bullshit.

    See above photo of child

That is what you say is "god's invisible mechanism" doled out according to who "deserves" it

‘God is unconditional love’ is an ear-tickling saying of the religionists when they wrongly apply it to individuals--especially when they commit sin. His unconditional love is towards the whole mankind (not to individuals when they perform acts—good or bad). Do we not see a fair creation prepared to receive us the instant we are born- a world furnished to our hands, that cost us nothing? Is it we that light up the sun, that pour down the rain, and fill the earth with abundance? Whether we sleep or wake, the vast machinery of the universe still goes on.

So much vacuous and callous waffle in your posts Venus I can't muster the enthusiasm to even start to refute it.

If you are curious about why I called it callous let me know.

For me (maybe not you, whom e'er you be...no one particular), I can't see evidence for any higher beings, god or gods....call them what you will.

when I'm told that the problem is with me not listening to the obvious voice in my head mystically..............oh, please!

I feel that before we get into what or who god is and how it works, show me the obvious evidence. If there isn't anything obvious, then all other postulation is worthless.

    Cofty,

You have no enthusiasm because of your atheistic disposition which is understandable. I have no problem in believing in a God who is responsible for the fine-tuning of earth so that various forms of life can enjoy their lives here.

The fact that God is not doing anything to remove suffering is not a problem for me to disbelieve in Him because we all know humans are capable of removing suffering, but they are not inclined to do (they are even inclined to increase the suffering)
