Teenagers know when they are flirting. Yet, when confronted by adults about it, they play dumb.
What this article fails to address is that many, many JWs kids willingly flirt online and when they see each other at the kingdom hall, they barely know how to say hello to one another. These kids need to be able to talk in real life and make real facial expressions rather than using memes.
Still, JWs are not all wrong trying to address this issue. Plenty of them are chatting and loosing countless hours online while it is clear that in the end, there is no physical chemistry between the two. The whole relationship exist due to chatting where they imagine the facial expressions of one another. In the end, the other person is a composite between their imagination and reality. It’s wrong.

We showed this to our teenager. The response was..."What! We have so much to deal with in High school, the homework, peer preasure, college, etc., and this is what they are worried about?"
It goes to show you how out of touch WT is with reality.
