Yep, and it's all your fault.

They've been doing that for as long as I can remember...
Undercover: I agree some CO's are never satisfied, but the CO's I dealt with in recent years were SPECIFICALLY questioning why meeting attendance had gotten so low. Their concern was over recent phenomena. During the 70's and 80's, meeting attendance was much stronger: over 100% on Sunday was the norm, with percentages in the high 80's or low 90's during the week.
By the late 90's, we were getting figures as low as 60-something percent for book studies, high-60's or low 70's for the school and 80% on Sunday, sometimes less. In my last congo, the number of pubs dropped from 130+ to the mid-80's in just two years, despite the fact that we were in an area that was exploding in terms of population growth. On a typical Sunday 50-65 publishers out of 85 showed up, which is well under 80%. These same kinds of trends were obvious throughout the circuit, except in Spanish congos -- due to increased immigration and high birth rates.
These trends were clearly cause for alarm on the part of the CO and he was under direction from the WTS to find out why the slippage and report back.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is an organized group of Apostates. If you know what I mean. Or an Association of Apostates. I am thinking to my self there must be some kind of network? I am just trying to think how can we become known as some organized group, is it possible? I guess we wouldn't call ourselves apostates but we should have some kind of way to be kept informed other than in forums such as this one. This is an excellent forum and I love it so much and everyone that is hear . I hope there are no decietful apostates? Strange eh?
Anyone know of any.. if so how do you become a member!!!
Love Orangefatcat.

How interesting. Evidently the policy has changed drastically. In the past, a member must have been accused and condemned in a judicial committee before being labeled "apostate".
Now apparently they are saying that there are unidentified apostates. Ones who still attend meetings and fulfill duties, but are posting jw info onto the net. (watch out blondie)!
How will they deal with this dilemma I wonder? How do you mark, disfellowship, or label these hidden threats???? Long live the net! And the more the tower tries to warn, the more the r and f will come to our sites to investigate, even if initially to spy.

All the Halls around here are pretty full, most of them have four congregations meeting and they're building new Halls. There's a lot of wishful thinking going on here I think.

"Apostate" - the most evil word in the JW lexicon. Worse than Satan, worse than demons. Say the word, and watch real TERROR well up in the eyes of a JW. (See "Internet")

Gee Pork, do you think that maybe by consolidating congregations means that there are too many buildings for too few people? Is this growth? Or is it downsizing as per the way of the world?

You're not following me little witch. They're building new halls because they're forming new congreations and the current halls are full. It get's really hard to schedule when you get up to five unless it's a double hall, and there are several of those around here as well.
