...one question about anything and get a straight answer, what would it be? Historical, philosophical, theological, eschatological, anything.

No such question exists in my view. There are no straight answers.

To me, saying "and get a straight answer" puts your question in the realm of that riddle where you have to choose the safe door from 2 doors where one is guarded by a liar and one is guarded by a truthful guard.
There is an answer for that riddle, but it's not realistic. Where and when would that actually really happen? Same question with
getting a straight answer from a GB member. Where and when would that actually really happen?

So in the realm of philosophical riddles, my question would be, "Do you really believe God works through you and the 2/3rds vote and actually accepts the doctrines of you men like the overlap generation to be representative of what HE meant?"

You will never get a straight answer out of a Jehovahs Witness whether he/she is a R&f member , pioneer, MS ,Elder, or a GB member ,why ?

Because they all speak out of both sides of their mouth

The publications of Jehovahs Witnesses are designed to give two sides of a question put to them depending on what the questionaire expects to get as an answer .

"Why do hotdogs come in packs of four or eight and hotdog rolls come in packs of six or twelve?"

Plenty of questions. Cofty could ask about reconciling evidence of an old earth with teachings of a new earth.

    And others might ask:

    • How could Jehovah except medical uses for blood thousands of years before such medical practices existed?
    • Where did the JWs get its ecclesiastical authority?
    • How can a manmade church subsequently be chosen by God as what supposedly happened in 1919? Shouldn't it be the other way around? God creates the church, then asks men to accept it?
    • Can PARADISE EARTH people someday go to Heaven? What wonders can Earth hold for people after a few hundred years, much less thousands?
    • Why did 144,000 go to Heaven when everyone else becomes earthbound?

And they can go on and on. These are only a few.

If God chose YOUR organization (in 1918) to represent Him because of your teachings, then why do your 'teachings' keep changing?

Oh, and the hot dog thing...

Good! Then there's the classic about why a tiny mosquito has many legs and wings to boot, while a lumbering elephant has only four legs to support its great weight. Doesn't seem philosophically fair.
