since yellow is the chromatic compliment of blue, you might want to call your album of "happy blues" The Yellows.
Then again, you might not.

I think you have struck a chord with your inner feelings. Go with your instincts and creat something that feels right. When we have a talent, we shouldn't hide it, or try to make it like everyone else; we should forge ahead on our own path.
You just might be pleasantly surprised at the outcome! Best wishes.

What software are you using?
It's called Multitrack Studio. The only problem is my computer's not very fast, so I have to record a track, mix, record, mix which is quite time consuming, but I've been finding it well worth the effort. I use Multitrack Studio for recording, mastering, and effects, then I use Creative Wave Studio (an old, but easy-to-use program) for editing and mixing.
Back when I was in my teens, doing my "Canned Peaches" project, things were a lot more complicated. Computers weren't able to handle good quality or playing multiple wave files at once (nor did I have a computer), so I did everything analog. I own 2 reel to reels that I've used extensively (I used to own more). A lot of my masters were on reel to reel. Using that, and working to keep sound quality excellent has certainly paid off now that I've converted everything to CD.
I've been doing stuff like this since I was 14. I just work with what I have available, and right now, a new computer is not within my means.
Also, the future wife dropped a bomb on me yesterday. We've invited more people to the wedding, therefore, more CD, therefore, more expensive. She suggested dropping the whole project which I DON'T WANT TO DO!! So, tonight we're gonna go out pricing stuff and see how cheap we can do all this. I don't want to dump this project!

LOL! Sounds like a seller to me! I should go with something like the title T.Rex chose for one of their albums: "My People Were Fair and Had Sky In Their Hair, but Now They're Content To Wear Stars On Their Brows"
I know this album's going to sound quite raw, but I've always loved that sound. If the music's good, that's all that really counts.
hey Nos,
Ever thought about trying out for Canadian Idol? A great way to maybe get some media attention..

I thought about Canadian Idol, as did my fiance. There is one thing that really kept me from trying out - my musical style. I have more of an axl rose type voice (which is why I get requests to do GnR at Karaoke bars). From entering Karaoke contests and such, I've come to a conclusion: People will vote for the singer with a pleasing voice, not the person with the ballsy voice. LOL! I can do a "pleasing" voice, but it nowhere stands up to the pleasing voice that many other guys have. However, when it comes to something a little more rough, I blow them all away.
Ever hear a "backstreet boy" try to sing heavy metal? I have. They don't know how to do it. The great thing about me is I have a universal voice. I can go from "Bridge Over Troubled Water" to "Sweet Child O' Mine". Unfortunately, diversity doesn't seem to go over well with the judges.
The thing I really hate is the music industry. Justin Timberlake is in, Axl Rose is out.
so I did everything analog
Ahh, the good old days. Back in the old dub days, I re-recorded a version of a kingdom melody for a sisters wedding on my old tascam 4 track. They were chuffed to bits. However, the elders refused to let them play it at the wedding. Reason? "The society recorded these versions for a reason, and they must not be tampered with" Idiots.
