No second chances on this stuff. If your dog attacked your grandmother, would you ever trust it again, no matter how nice he acted afterward? Would you leave it alone with your child, ever? You'd probably have it put to sleep.

I need proof that these people can change...............the statistics show that these people more often than not DON'T change.

The pedo that abused my kid has now got an inactive dub 16yo girl pregnant. he's about 23.

    Sorry, give me a gun

Most pedophiles have already had their chance to stop ... and don't.

My step-father had 5 victims - that I know of and access to others.

My father had at least two victims and possibly others.

A few have only one victim but most have many. One study showed that men who had been incarcerated had well over 50 victims before they were caught.

I say they've used up all their chances to reform

No way. Too many have proven that they cannot be reformed. Look at that teacher who had her students baby, got convicted, got out and got pregnant by him again. The kid was 15! Good grief what a hag predator. I'm not sorry to say I would prefer they remained incarcerated.

I don't wanna hijack this thread, so just to mention - what a topic - how does one deal with not being able to expose one's abusers b/c of lack of proof or whatever reason, and you are concerned that others are being molested? I don't know if you are still doing topical threads, but it would be a subject of interest to me and others, maybe (?)

tal in that case word of mouth can be very effective in warning others.

I had prrof regarding my father and step-father and one of my uncles (they were all caught in the act) But there are others where there was no "proof" except my word. I have no reason to lie. They on the other hand have every reason to lie. But when I have given a warning it up to the listener to decide whether to believe me or not. If at the very least all I do is provide the shadow of doubt needed for them to keep their eyes open then I will be content. And if they ignore it I know I will have done what I can to protect an innocent child.

But some cases are very difficult to deal with especially if there are JW over-tones to the issue

    edited to add

I do those topical posts when I read something that gets my mind in a whirl

it's something I've thought about a lot, for reasons I'm not gonna reveal in an open forum.

some cases are very difficult to deal with

I guess if you can't do anything about it, then it's best to let it go.

    thanks for the input

Does a sex offender deserve another chance for a new life?

Would that be before or after they've been castrated?

Anyone read the book of the movie "Escape from New York"?
