    LOL. Ok you guys, it's Kamma, in Pali and Karma in Sanskrit! I missed an 'm' in the Pali version - as if you guys didn't know!

    In its most general sense kamma means all good and bad actions. It is neither fatalism nor a doctrine of predetermination. The past influences the present, for kamma is past as well as present. The past and the present influence the future - in this life or in the life to come.

    Ref: The Buddha's Way by the Ven. H. Saddhatissa (whom I had the very great privilege of meeting in the mid-1970s).

    I can honestly say I haven't come across that in my mind. I should say I am now a far more pragmatic person. I don't believe Satan exists. I don't know whether God exists or not but, if he does, I don't believe he has any bearing on my spiritual development. I believe that is up to each one of us individually.

    Now to try and make good karma..............
